In December of 2016, I did what no other Lozon had done before — I graduated from college. I attended Central Michigan University, where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Broadcasting & Cinematic Arts. During my time at CMU, I worked for Central Michigan Life, the student-run newspaper. I was raised and originally educated in Trenton, Michigan.

At a young age, I began writing made-up stories and had my friends read them at school. My passion for sports, along with my desire to set myself apart from my peers, helped evolve my love of writing and led me on the path I am on today.

I began my sports journalism journey through blogging on TheBigHouseReport.com, a University of Michigan football and basketball blog. I developed and honed my skills as a reporter through Central Michigan Life when I joined the newspaper in Jan. 2016.

I have grown as a sports journalist and now reside as a writer and editor at Maize n' Brew, the SB Nation website for Michigan athletics. This role has taught me to be a leader and effective producer of articles and podcasts. A summer internship at Detroit Sports 105.1 helped me learn the ins and outs of the broadcasting side of things, as well as how to go about writing articles for a radio station's website. I used my skills as a communicator to build and maintain relationships at the station that may benefit my career down the road.

I have spent most of my young life writing stories, fiction and non-fiction, while ultimately pursuing a career in sports journalism. This is the foundation on which my young career is built, and I am ecstatic to see where it goes from here.
